Advent and Christmas at First UMC Baraboo

“Sharing Hope, Peace, Joy and Love with the Community” Advent/Christmas Patio Shelter

Stop by the church patio to see the beautiful lights and find ‘shelter from the storm’ of 2020.  Our team has created a space for the whole community to rest, reflect, share with each other and strengthen one another in this challenging time.  This week the theme is “love.”  Come by on Thursday, December 24th any time after 4:00 p.m. when there will be special Christmas Eve decorations added!

The 2020 Christmas offering will go to God’s Loving Arms Fund. All during the pandemic, St. Vincent de Paul has been providing services to those in need.  Susan Robinson provides for those in need with a grateful heart and giving spirit.  Their store, which provides much of the helping funds, has seen challenges during this pandemic.  All funds given out by St. Vincent de Paul are from donations, they do not receive any government funding.  This year has seen a surge in requests for assistance as families navigate the challenges of Covid 19.  If you would like to support people in the Baraboo area, please make out your checks to the church and put “God’s Loving Arms” in the memo space.  Thank you Susan Robinson, and the staff at St. Vincent de Paul.
