Parade Pies

DSCN0483In celebration of the 3rd Annual Baraboo’s Big Top Parade & Circus Celebration, First United Methodist Church will host a Baked-Fresh Parade Pocket Pie stand in front of the church, 615 Broadway in Baraboo, on Saturday, July 25, 10am – 4pm.

Individual servings of handheld Razzle Dazzle Apple Pies, Big Top Blueberry Pies and Cheery Cherry Clown Pies, baked fresh in the church’s kitchen that morning, will be available for $3 per pie, $5 for 2 pies or $10 for 5 pies. Chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin Colossal Cookies will be available for $1 each. Coffee, lemonade and water will also be sold for $1 per serving.

Proceeds from the sale will help fund meals for adults accompanying children to the Baraboo School District’s summer food service program. Proceeds will also be directed toward the development of a drop-in center at the church for those needing a warm place on Saturday afternoons next winter. The goal is to sell 1,000 pocket pies. Patrons visiting the stand on July 25 will also see the Tree of Wishes, an interactive display created by homeless children from the Madison Metropolitan School District.
